Miraculous Healing Power

For several months, I had been experiencing lower back pain. I could barely sit at my computer desk and work as the intensity of the pain would increase. Eventually, I would have to get up, go into the living room and lean back in my recliner in order to find some sort of relief. Lengthy drives in the truck could also become very uncomfortable, as I only seemed to find short stints of relief while walking around at a rest area.

At first, I would complain to my Peruvian Queen, Fanny. I kept speaking about the pain and found myself worried about the true cause of it. I visited with my doctor who referred me over to having ultra sounds, cat scans and the like with some concern that it could be caused by issues with my kidneys. A final visit to my urologist revealed that it most likely wasn't the reason. It seemed to be solely related to my back muscles.

I believe strongly in the miraculous healing power of God. I also believe in the power of our words. I noticed my words regarding my pain were not in line with what God's Word says about healing.

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. (1Pe 2:24 NLT)

I began to change my words. I didn't ignore the pain, nor did I pretend it didn't exist. I simply began to speak in line with God's Word... that by the wounds of Jesus I am healed.

Earlier this month, we traveled to Colorado to attend a Ministers Conference put on by Andrew Wommack Ministries at Charis Bible College. We drove over 1200 miles, which became very uncomfortable for me as the pain pulsated throughout my back and literally made its way down my left leg. At no point did I complain to Fanny. A number of times, under my breath I would simply say, "I am healed."

During one of the conference sessions, one of the Pastors on the platform said God wanted to heal those with lower back pain. I stood up, along with dozens of other attendees. Lower back pain isn't that uncommon, so it didn't surprise me to see the response. But then, the Pastor said, "God is showing me that the pain is also traveling down your left leg." At that point, I knew God was about to do something special for me. I was surrounded by people of faith, who, along with Fanny, laid their hands on me and prayed. I could feel the warmth of Holy Spirit's gentle touch in the area of pain. A tingling traveled up my left leg and into my lower back. It was in that instant, God healed me.

During the rest of the conference and on the drive back home, I experienced absolutely no pain. Back home and working at my computer, I continue to be free of pain. The manifestation of healing took place in that moment at the conference. However, the truth of my healing was provided for me by Jesus Christ on the day He faced the cross.

I have no doubt that God still performs powerful miracles today. I am so thankful of His reminder in my own life. I also want to extend an invitation to you.
